Once located as a small port town on the Middelzee, it has grown into the capital of Friesland. You can board one of our ferry boats at Nieuwestad 86 opposite the Aktiesport.
'Second Screen' Canal tour
The guide will take you through old photos, drawings and paintings that we show on a large screen (second screen) in the front of the ferry boat. This gives you a good idea of Leeuwarden Then and Now. This makes the cruise very entertaining, informative and... fun of course.
