HIGH TEA WITH AN EXTENSIVE SELECTION OF DISHES
Welcome to the old Post Office of Leeuwarden, the place where—besides the interior and historical character—the quality of food and drinks is what matters most. This also applies to our Post-Plaza High Tea. Our High Tea is a collection of the finest flavors, featuring products from Dutch soil and carefully prepared by our kitchen team led by Jarst Bekius.
Expect delicious sandwiches with, among other things, smoked salmon from Veltman Vis, Akkrummer plaatham, and Texel sheep’s cheese, followed by a platter full of sweets such as a Post-Plaza bonbon, a brownie from Blooming Bakery, Frisian turf cake, and macarons. Of course, the classic scones are not missing—served with clotted cream and cranberry compote.
We also serve a cup of lentil soup with goat cheese from De Molkerei, harissa oil, and parsley, as well as a savory potato muffin and a seasonal vegetable preparation. To complete the experience, we offer unlimited tea from Peeze Norwood – pure leaf tea made from hand-picked tea leaves from Sri Lanka, for an authentic and honest tea experience.
Our High Tea, available by reservation between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, is perfect for a baby shower, birthday celebration, or a cozy afternoon with friends. Enjoy delicious food, fine tea, and a charming setting—just as it should be. Take a seat, relax, and savor the craftsmanship in our Post-Plaza High Tea.
